What made you join IGNITE?
The trigger was an offer from the representative's father. Originally, I wanted to get a job that made use of my bilingualism, and I wanted to be involved in English and Japanese translation in particular, so I decided to join the company because I thought this job was perfect for me. At first, I joined the company as a freelancer and had other jobs, but when I returned to Japan, I became a full-time employee.
Please tell me about your current work
The main business content is tasks from foreign clients. I am in charge of a wide range of tasks, from execution to confirmation, such as research and planning for each task.
Also, since I'm in charge of English, I'm also in charge of translation and English-related tasks.
Do you struggle with anything when dealing with foreign clients?
Basically, there are many overseas clients who wish to expand their business in Japan, but most of them have taken the wrong approach to Japan, so I feel that it is very important for them to understand correct Japanese knowledge and approach methods. Of course, that's what we are for, so we will continue to provide solid support as a link between our clients and Japan.
What is the appeal of working at IGNITE?
There are many, but the best is remote work, so you can work anywhere if you have a computer. I love traveling, so I am very attracted to being able to work in each region while visiting each prefecture and country.
Also, as is the case with myself, I think it's a very comfortable working environment for bilinguals and those who grew up overseas. The system is close to overseas, and I feel that there are many people who have flexible ideas and ways of thinking. The staff also work with respect for each other.
What are your future challenges and goals?
As a company, we want to increase the number of people and make it even bigger. To that end, there are points that have yet to be reached, so I would like to prepare a position where the company can grow.
As an individual, I want to get better at Japanese. I'm bilingual, but my native language is English and I'm better at English, so I want to improve my Japanese expressive skills. Also, I would like to be able to further disseminate the appeal of Japan.
Message to those considering applying
I think it is very suitable for those who are interested in foreign countries, those who want to make use of English, and those who want to learn English. Also. There are many opportunities to promote the appeal of Japan overseas, so I think people who like Japan can enjoy it.
There are many opportunities to get involved with various people and it's a very fun workplace, so if you are interested, let's work together!
