What made you join IGNITE?
The reason I joined the company was when I received an offer from the president. I originally worked as a freelancer, and I had a working relationship with IGNITE from that time on. When I was freelancing, I had only Japanese clients, but I was interested in overseas projects, so I decided to join the company because I thought working at IGNITE would lead to career advancement.
Please tell me about your current work
As a web designer/director, I am in charge of constructing sites using web design and Webflow, as well as the company's service content and planning.
Webflow is a no-code tool that is attracting attention around the world, and is a specialized tool that can visually combine designs. What actually takes 7 days can be shortened to about 3 days, so it's very efficient. However, it's still not very popular in Japan, so I'd like to spread the word myself from now on.
Do you have any difficulties or difficulties in your work?
Until now, when I was freelancing, I was only involved in production, but now I'm often involved in marketing tasks. Therefore, there are many things to do and remember, and there are times when I feel impatient about work. However, since I'm going to do it, I want to do it well, and I want to create something perfect, so I'm not cutting corners at all.
What is the appeal of working at IGNITE?
There are times when I feel a sense of accomplishment and motivation, such as “being able to do things I couldn't do until now.” I have acquired not only design skills, but also marketing skills, and I feel that I am able to advance my career. Also, since it is an environment where many people are taking action to achieve their goals, my own motivation is also inspired, and I don't want to lose to others! It makes me think, so I can grow.
What tasks did you find particularly rewarding?
This is the task that created our service site. I really felt the teamwork as we built it together with the members. When I was working as a freelancer, one person handled everything, but since I joined IGNITE, I was able to carry out work as a team, so it's easy to proceed efficiently. Each person on the team has their own strengths, and I think it's an expert group.
What are your future challenges and goals?
I would like to increase the number of users of Webflow in Japan, create websites for overseas clients, and expand Japanese companies overseas. Webflow's management screens are all in English, so there isn't much trial in Japan due to language barriers. Therefore, I would like to be a pioneer and distribute trial methods on community sites and blogs aimed at Japanese people. Also, by doing so, I would like to build a bridge between Japan and overseas. My own challenge is to improve my English skills and design skills that can handle both Japan and overseas.
