Marketer and CEO

Before establishing the company, I worked as an English teacher, then worked for a marketing company for the Japanese domestic market. Afterwards, in order to respond to marketing needs, IGNITE, a marketing company targeting Japanese and overseas clients, was launched. Currently, he is the president of two companies and aims for a marketing revolution originating in Kansai through IGNITE. IGNITE is truly an entity that “ignites” and is opening up new marketing horizons based on a vision connecting Japan and the world.

How did you set up the business?

I was originally an English teacher, but later I changed my job to marketing in Japan. Among them, I noticed that while customers in Tokyo were highly recognized overseas, customers in Osaka were low, and there were many people who were skeptical about expanding overseas. I felt the decline in Osaka in particular, recognized the importance of bilinguals, and began to want to contribute in Kansai. There are issues with marketing, and I realized that there are almost no companies that can handle clients from Japan to overseas or from overseas to Japan, so I decided to utilize my bilingual skills and establish a marketing company that transcends language barriers. Although many Japanese companies want to expand overseas, there are many cases where things don't go well due to language barriers, and the reason behind the establishment is that we wanted to stand in the middle and support them.

What are your future goals?

IGNITE's goal in the future is to disseminate information from Kansai, and to that end, gather Japanese and foreigners living in Kansai, and human resources with connections to Kansai, and improve their skills. IGNITE has the meaning of “igniting,” and we want to become such an entity, aiming to build that opportunity both as a company and as a business.

What are you looking for in your staff?

First, it's hungry. We are looking for people who are not satisfied with who they are now and are motivated to grow because they want to study more and acquire more skills. Next is professionalism in communication skills. Whether you're bilingual or not, it's important to effectively communicate across language barriers. In particular, we work remotely and have many online meetings, so communication with other members is very important. Finally, it's honesty. Our company is an international environment with not only Japanese people but also people of various nationalities. Therefore, I want them to accept different cultures and ways of thinking without prejudice, and understand others with an open mind.
